Hamilton, ON, May 24, 2016 - Adriana Motta Fix, film director of the Canadian Indie documentary “Fix News Report: The Story of Orphan 32” wins the 2016 “Canada International Film Festival” First Time Filmmaker Award.

Filmed and produced in the beautiful “Steel City”, Hamilton, Ontario, during last summer by Fix Strategic Media Communications, this Indie Documentary features a unique combination defined as - A story of Hope and Encounter-  experienced by author and public speaker, Thanh Campbell, the Orphan 32. “ Rescued from an orphanage in Vietnam during the 1975 "Operation Baby-Lift", he was brought to Canada with a group of 56 children”, tells the documentary director.

Canada International Film Festival happened in Vancouver, BC, April 8 and 9, and the  Award Winner in the category “First Time Filmmaker” director Adriana Motta Fix is excited. “It is being a great journey. Mostly filled with love, dedication and hours of a very focused work. We are very blessed and grateful for all the opportunities that are being presented to us. It is priceless and humbling to have our documentary Fix News Report: The story of Orphan 32 accepted knowing that there are so many that have submitted and just few of us get this opportunity.”

This Hamilton based production is  41 minutes length of inspiring story directed by permanent canadian resident brazilian born, international journalist, documentary director and indie filmmaker Adriana Motta Fix.

Ms. Fix is also responsible for the documentary “From Rally to Festival” another production ongoing with a 2016 release to be announced.

Thanh Campbell was born in Vietnam and came over to Canada as part of the last flight out of Saigon in 1975. His story was captured numerous times in the media.
